About Our Retreat

Our mission as a Network is:

To provide time and space to grow in intimacy with God, own our identity in Christ and be empowered by Holy Spirit to be a light in our spheres of influence.

The retreat enables women to connect with God and with other's in intimate ways, and build lasting friendships.

This year's theme is Free; our speakers are Roxana Kreklo and Joanne Knight. They will be sharing from Scripture around the theme of freedom in Christ and all that this brings.

Roxana

Roxana is a deeply passionate follower of Jesus, a wife and mom of two kids. Originally from Romania, Roxana arrived in Canada at the age of 9, with her parents, after a short time as refugees in Austria. Very quickly she discovered a love for sport and focused most of her teen years on track and field. She attended Simon Fraser University, studied Criminology and French and was on the Canadian Track and Field team while there.

Roxana currently serves as the National Director for Alpha for Prisons, having served as a regional director for B.C., Alberta and Quebec for several years prior to that. She has personally ministered in many prisons and youth detention centres around the country over the past 8 years; her deepest heart’s cry being to make Jesus known to every man, woman or teenager in prison.

Joanne

Joanne is passionate about seeing women thrive and becoming all God has called them to be. Over the past 30 years Joanne has ministered to children, youth, young adults and adults in various capcities. Ten years ago Joanne entered full time vocational ministry, serving first at Summit Pacific College in the Omega Program and then as Dean of Women. Joanne joined the Living Water's pastroal team in July 2014, overseeing the Women's Network and the Mentoring Network and Life Groups.

Our worship leaders for the weekend are: Michelle Stephen and Olivia Stephen

She is honoured each and every time she has the opportunity to lead people in worship.

Michelle graduated from TWU a number of years ago where she studied music, she then worked in the Admissions Depratment, moving to the Student Life Depratment, becoming a Resident Director. Michelle cares deeply about people knowing Jesus more and serving him with all they have.

Olivia

Olivia graduated from TWU having studied music and special ed. She currently substitute teaches in Langley and the surrounding area. She has a passion for building relationships with students and helping them see their unique God-given potential. She has a heart for the marginalized, specifically those with special needs and desires their value to be noticed and celebrated among everyone.
Olivia has been involved with worship teams since she was a teenager and she also led a chapel worship team at TWU for 2 years while studying. She has led worship at Living Waters in the past before attending Hillsong College in 2018.
